Coolatai grass management recognised as part of Award
By NSW Roadside Environment Committee
The NSW Roadside Environment Committee (REC) sponsored Roadside Environmental Management Award recognised the efforts of the Hunter and Central Coast Regional Environment Management Strategy (HCCREMS). These councils won Division C of the Awards through initiatives to restore threatened species, improve water quality and constrain exotic grass dispersal. The projects effectively constrained the inter-council spread of the highly invasive weed, Coolatai grass.
